Tezvia is a new Indian sports brand. We do not have a 50-year history or a famous player on the box. What we do have is a simple idea, and our name on every pack.
Tez means fast in Hindi. For us, fast means gear that is quick to fit, quick to understand and quick to get to you. Fair means the box matches the photo, the specs are real numbers, and if something goes wrong, we fix it without a fight.
Why cricket bat grips first
Most of us played cricket before any other sport, in a gully, on a terrace, at a turf on a Friday night. And almost everyone who plays has changed a grip.
Before we made anything, we read hundreds of customer reviews of grips and grip cones sold online in India. The same complaints came up again and again:
- the pack had fewer grips than the photo
- the colour was different from the one ordered
- the rubber tore within a few matches
- the cone was too small for a full-size bat
- the steel ring on the cone rusted or came off
None of these are hard problems. They come from cutting corners. So our first product, the Match Grip Kit, is built around fixing them: an exact count, rubber with real cushion, two textures for gloves and bare hands, and a hardwood cone made for full-size handles.
Who makes our kit
We're working with makers in India's sports-goods clusters. We check samples ourselves for thickness, fit, finish and smell before we approve anything, and nothing goes on sale until we're happy with them.
